The Challenge

Currys wanted to strengthen their senior leadership pipeline and ensure appointments at the most senior levels aligned not only to role requirements, but also to their Fit for the Future Leadership Profile. The goal was to gain deep, evidence-based insights into candidates’ leadership capability, potential, and cultural fit, while also supporting onboarding and long-term success.

Our Approach

Working in partnership with Irving & Irving Associates, we designed and delivered a robust and holistic executive assessment process. Key elements included:

  • Psychometrics – Hogan Suite and Saville Swift tests to explore reasoning, personality, and leadership potential.
  • Leadership Capability Interview – an in-depth, two-hour structured interview with a Chartered Psychologist, tailored to Currys’ leadership framework.
  • Leadership Assessment Report – a detailed narrative, mapping each candidate’s strengths, risks, and development areas to Currys’ G7 leadership profile.
  • Panel/Stakeholder Briefing – clear recommendations, including cultural fit and value-add, plus risk mitigation strategies.
  • 1:1 Feedback for Candidates – personalised debrief sessions for all candidates, successful or not, to provide actionable insight and strengthen the candidate experience.
  • Onboarding Support – optional coaching to help successful candidates embed quickly and maximise their impact.
